Salon Help!!!!

Reasons Why A Business Coach Can Change Your Outcomes Unfortunately, for us our salons didn’t come with an operating manual, a step-by-step guide or even a rewind button. Owning a small business and making it a success is hard work, regardless of our understanding of business matters, being a small business of ONE person isn’t easy, and the resources we have available often don’t help. One of the fastest and best ways to reach the desired business outcomes is to hire a business coach (that could be me J) who will guide you to make the right decisions for your business. And using a salon specialist, someone who has been there before and knows the pitfalls in advance is helpful.   You started your salon because you have a skill, talent and/or passion for what you do. You love the freedom that comes with being your own boss, or the exhilarating experiencing of creating your own salon and expressing who you are and what you do. You may also have a desire to help more people and make a great living doing what you love.   You’ve worked hard to achieve the success you already have, but the reality is, as salon owners, we can only get so far, before we burn out, lose focus and lose belief in ourselves.   Ever thought what a business coach could do for you to change your outcome?   A BUSINESS COACH…   Sees the Big Picture from all angles.   A business coach is going to help you see the long view of your business. Sometimes we are so personally and emotionally “in the weeds” that it’s hard to see the horizon of where we are or could be going and how to get there. A coach is going to help you see that big picture.   Helps You Define Goals, Action Plan and Timeline   A coach will help you put your scattered thoughts into goals, actions, timelines, and milestones. A good coach will guide you to resources to track your plan, timeline and progress.   Provides Experienced Guidance and Support   The business coach you choose should be someone with more business experience than you, specifically in the areas you wish to grow. In fact, they should have done the work and achieved the success that you are seeking to learn.   Asks the Hard Questions   A coach will sit between consultant (paid to tell you the answer) and therapist (paid to draw the answer out of you). A coach will ask the hard questions to help you address obstacles or blocks, and guide you back toward your goal, action plan and timeline. What is really holding you back ?   Remains Objective   We are all too emotionally close to our own businesses to be rationally objective. A business coach is detached, and can look at your overall business to see the strengths and development opportunities, and guide the discussion toward those outcomes. A good coach is going to identify your blind spots, and ask the hard questions to address what needs to happen.   Holds You Accountable to Outcomes   So you met with your coach and outlined an action plan. And then you wake up with a brilliant new idea, or something has happened that’s getting in the way. Your coach will guide you back to your goal line as soon as possible.   Motivating yourself   We come face-to-face with a number of problems at every stage of our lives and business progress. Motivation is a key factor that gives us the strength to handle any situation and keep going. If there is no external factor that motivates us to move forward, we have to learn to motivate ourselves. This has proven to be true for most successful individuals and it is something learnt with experience.   Knowing where you are heading: Being focused is the key to success!   There will be numerous distractions that will try and sway you away from your path. Despite all this, you need to be focused and know what you want from life and your business. This will help you become more disciplined and approach every task with confidence.     Now is this the right time to move your business to the next level.   I know what it’s like to feel like you’re working so hard and still struggling to make your business work. After 20 years as a salon owner, I know there will never be a good time. Believe me, it hasn’t always been easy; and many times the thought crossed my mind to sell and forget about staff issues and the like. But we all have bad days; the secret is to have more happy drama free days than massive headache days J   I control my own income and my own destiny! I too needed help to grow my coaching business. At any given time I am getting some sort of training or certification and working with one or more mentors as well. As salon owners, we are brilliant, and artistic, social and people pleasers. But we still can’t do it alone. We need someone outside of ourselves to help us get the clarity, focus and direction we need and to hold us accountable, otherwise it’s too easy to just keep our head down, peddling fast, but not getting very far on our own.   I’ve created a tried and proven process to help brilliant salon owners just like you move forward, help more people, do more of what you love, and make more money while you’re doing it!   Work smarter and leave the harder to others.       Check out this FREE workshop how to make a lifestyle salon. Owning A Salon Is Good For Your Wealth

Too many people put down hairdressers and beauticians as a dead end job, they even snigger at salon owners saying it’s only a matter of time before you close. There is NO money in it, it’s a hobby, it’s stressful and will take you no where. Well I wanted to prove these people wrong. This is me, my life. I’ve lived and breathed hairdressing for over 35 years and I know different. I decided to prove these people wrong once and for all. But first a little back story about me. Hi I am Richard McCabe a salon business coach and I help salon owners make more money and free up more time. I wasn’t always a coach, I left school with poor exam results and fell into hairdressing, it wasn’t long before I started my own salon and struggled for the first 5 years. Making average money working month to month ( like most salon owners). I then decided to learn a better way to run my business and for the majority of my salon owner life I had a very comfortable living, giving me a lifestyle that I wanted. When I was looking to purchase my second salon I realised that a lot of salon owners were just scraping by and not many were making money, so that’s how I fell into coaching. I wanted to help them and share my system. From that day on I have had this battle with some salon owners that say YOU CANNOT make money as an owner, the margins are too small and everyone is struggling. This week I had this conversation with three owners and all of them said that most salon owners would be making marginal profits if any. I know I was right as I was a salon owner making this kind of money, I have salons in my coaching practice earning and paying themselves extremely well, so I thought I would throw the question out on Facebook to any one that would help me build a picture of our industry. This exercise in by no means exhaustive and may not even be the industry standard. But the results are real and true. Salon owners sent me these figures with no bribes and no other reason than sharing what they do. I thank each and every one of them for sharing and helping others gain knowledge that there is money to be made as a salon owner. This is what I posted to 3 groups on Facebook and the results Download the full story and results here Check out a workshop here how you too can get a lifestyle salon.
